Can I measure with the XP5 in bright sunlight?
Yes. The digital point finder with 8× magnification and crosshair on the display allows precise aiming even in strong sunlight.
How long does the battery last?
The Ni-MH batteries last for 6–8 hours of work and are charged via USB-C.
Does the XP5 fit on a tripod?
Yes, it has a 1/4″ tripod thread, for example for the H140 tripod. For tripods with 5/8″ there is an adapter screw from 5/8″ to 1/4″.

The CONDTROL XP5 is a laser distance meter for long distances indoors and outdoors. It measures from 0.05 to 150 m with a stated typical accuracy of ±1.5 mm. The digital viewfinder with 8x zoom and crosshairs helps with aiming when the laser dot can hardly be seen with the naked eye in sunlight.
What measuring tasks is the XP5 suitable for?
Outdoor dimensions and façades: lengths and heights of buildings, halls, fences and masts. Landscaping and window installation on open building sites. Indoors: areas, volumes and special shapes. Four reference points (rear, front, foot, tripod) and the 1/4″ tripod thread allow steady, repeatable measurement series.
8x digital viewfinder
The camera image with crosshairs shows where the laser is pointing, even at long distances and in bright light. The camera does not replace a suitable target surface and does not guarantee maximum range in all lighting conditions.
Point-to-point and geometry
Point-to-point measures the distance between two sighted points. In addition there are Pythagoras, wall areas, triangles and circles, plus cylinder and cone volumes. The tilt sensor calculates heights and horizontal distances, and the digital spirit level shows gradients.

Understanding range and accuracy
Direct sunlight, poorly reflecting targets and shiny or transparent surfaces can affect the measurement. The nominal range is not a promise for every target; for long distances, put the tool on a tripod and use a target plate if needed. IP54 describes protection against dust and splash water; the tool is not waterproof.
