Rotary laser test 2026: CONDTROL models compared
Three current CONDTROL rotary lasers with green laser, compared: from the Roto HVG 600 for normal building sites to the Digi Roto HVG 800 with digital slope. Here we explain which model suits which job.

All models at a glance
| Model | Working range with receiver | Accuracy | Max. speed | Slope | Protection | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Roto HVG 600 | 600 m Ø | ±0.05 mm/m | 1,000 rpm | ±10 % X/Y | IP66 | €699.90 |
| Roto HVG 800 | 800 m Ø | ±0.05 mm/m | 1,500 rpm (via remote control) | ±10 % X/Y | IP66 | €999.90 |
| Digi Roto HVG 800 | 800 m Ø | ±0.025 mm/m | 3,000 rpm | ±10 % X/Y, digital | IP66 | €1,749.90 |
CONDTROL Roto HVG 600 – the entry into the new range €699.90
Der Roto HVG 600 works with a receiver over a 600 m diameter at ±0.05 mm/m. Indoors, the green beam can also be seen without a receiver depending on the light; outdoors and in sunlight you work with the supplied receiver.
The brushless motor runs more quietly, has no carbon brushes to wear out and lasts longer in daily use. In manual mode you set slopes up to ±10 % along X and Y while the plumb points up and down stay active. IP66 housing, dust-tight and protected against water jets.
Recommendation: shell construction, screed, foundations, driveways and ramps on normal building sites.
CONDTROL Roto HVG 800 – more range for large areas €999.90
Der Roto HVG 800 has the same accuracy, self-levelling, protection rating and battery life as the HVG 600. The difference: 800 instead of 600 m diameter with receiver, 1,500 instead of 1,000 rpm via the remote control, and a remote control range of 300 instead of 150 m.
At 1,500 rpm the line appears almost continuous and the receiver finds the signal faster. There is also a scan sector of 5°, 10°, 30° or 90°. The RotoSense receiver is included.
Recommendation: large areas, halls, long routes in civil engineering and road construction.
CONDTROL Digi Roto HVG 800 – digital slope and highest accuracy €1,749.90
With the Digi Roto HVG 800 you enter the slope for both axes digitally instead of setting it mechanically, and adjust it step by step via the remote control. This lets you hold longitudinal and cross slopes at the same time.
It measures with ±0.025 instead of ±0.05 mm/m, rotates at up to 3,000 rpm, runs for 30 instead of 22 hours and has a metal housing that survives a 2 m drop. In return it weighs 4.4 kg and is more expensive.
Recommendation: drainage, car parks, ramps, roof surfaces and road construction with defined slope requirements.
Which model for whom?
- Normal building site, heights and simple slopes: Roto HVG 600 – €699.90
- Large areas, long distances: Roto HVG 800 – €999.90
- Slopes in two axes, highest accuracy: Digi Roto HVG 800 – €1,749.90
For most building sites the Roto HVG 600 is enough. The HVG 800 pays off if the areas are regularly larger than 600 m in diameter. Choose the Digi Roto HVG 800 if slopes in both axes have to be held exactly.
Conclusion
The current CONDTROL range is clearly tiered: the same basis with green laser, IP66 and brushless drive, with differences in range, rotation speed and slope control. If you know how large your areas are and whether you need slopes in two axes, the decision is quick.
Frequently asked questions about rotary lasers
What is the difference between a rotary laser and a cross-line laser?
A rotary laser creates a 360° plane by rotating quickly and works with a receiver on large areas. A cross-line laser projects fixed lines and is intended for interior work. More on this: Rotary laser or cross-line laser?
Do I need a receiver?
Outdoors and in sunlight, yes – the eye then cannot see the beam at a distance. A receiver is included with all three models. More on this: Rotary lasers with receiver
What does IP66 mean?
IP66 means dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets from all directions. Rain on site is therefore not a problem.
Which rotary laser is suitable for slopes?
All three models set slopes up to ±10 % in X and Y. With the Digi Roto HVG 800 you set the slope digitally. More on this: Rotary lasers with digital slope
