Frequently asked questions
What does the patented arrangement of the laser outputs bring?
On most cross-line lasers the outputs are at the front and on the side, so the device always has to stand some distance from the wall. On the XLiner 3D they are placed differently, so you can put the laser directly against the wall or into the corner. In tight rooms and at junctions this saves you auxiliary lines and rework.
How long does the battery really last?
That depends on how many of the three planes are running. With one active plane it is up to 20 hours, with all three around 8. As two 5000 mAh batteries are included in the set, one charges while you keep working with the other.
Is a 40 m working range enough outdoors?
In direct sunlight the visible range can be much shorter than 40 m. In pulse mode and with a compatible receiver, the manual states a working range of up to 80 m; the range depends on the lighting conditions. The manual does not describe this figure as a diameter. A receiver is not included.

The CONDTROL XLiner 3D is a green cross-line laser with one horizontal and two vertical 360° planes. Colour OLED display, accuracy ±0.2 mm/m and IP65 make it a choice for repeated alignment work in drywall and installation.
How does it differ from the Smart 3D Plus?
Both project three complete 360° planes. According to the manual, the XLiner 3D offers ±0.2 mm/m, 40/80 m working range, IP65 and 1/4″ and 5/8″ mounts. The Smart 3D Plus offers ±0.3 mm/m, 30/60 m and IP54. Choose by working distance, required tolerance and mounting.

Operation and battery change
The OLED display shows the operating status; planes are selected according to the task. The manual states up to 20 hours with one laser emitter switched on and about 8 hours with all planes active. The tool runs on a 3.7 V 5000 mAh Li-ion battery; two batteries are included so you can swap them.
Mounting, slope and working in daylight
Wall bracket and clamp holder help you set it up at suitable fixing points. Check stability and the reference after moving it. With the compensator locked, inclined projections are possible; this is not a digital slope setting.
In bright surroundings, use pulse mode with a compatible receiver. The manual does not describe the 80 m figure as a diameter, and it must not be equated with the diameter figure of a rotary laser. A receiver is not included as standard.
