How does the SMART 3D PLUS differ from the SMART 4D PLUS?
The SMART 3D PLUS projects 2 vertical planes and 1 horizontal 360° plane. The 4D has an additional second horizontal plane (e.g. for work close to the floor or ceiling).

The CONDTROL Smart 3D Plus projects one horizontal and two vertical green 360° planes. This lets you transfer equal heights across several walls and set reference lines for drywall, room layout and installation without moving the laser for each wall.
3×360° for room layout and interior finishing
Use the horizontal plane for profiles, wall cabinets and ceiling heights. The two vertical planes help with axes and right-angled references. For a single wall, a 2D model may be enough; for two horizontal reference heights at once, a 4D model is the suitable alternative.

Operation and runtime
The touch panel switches the planes and pulse mode. The manual states up to 12 hours with one laser emitter switched on and about 3 hours with all planes switched on. The number of active planes is therefore decisive when comparing runtime.
Receiver mode and inclined lines
In bright ambient light, use pulse mode with a receiver that is proven to be compatible. The receiver is not included as standard. Visibility and working range depend on the lighting conditions. A locked compensator allows inclined projections; it does not set a digital target angle.
Scope of delivery
Smart 3D Plus, two Li-ion batteries, wall bracket with clip, 1/4″–5/8″ thread adapter, remote control, charger, user manual and plastic case. According to the manual, a lifting platform belongs to the 4D version, not the 3D version.

Compare 3D cross-line lasers by features. For a single wall: 2D lasers; for two horizontal heights: 4D lasers. Matching threads and working heights: tripods and poles.
