The CONDTROL IR-Cam 1 is a compact thermal imaging camera with pyrometer function for maintenance, building services and construction. It measures surface temperatures without contact from −50 to +1000 °C and shows the result as a thermal image on a 2.8-inch touchscreen.
What tasks is the IR-Cam 1 suitable for?
For quick temperature checks with an image: finding hot spots on fuses, motors and bearings, checking heating and pipework, revealing heat loss at windows and doors, monitoring processes and fire protection. The wide measuring range up to 1000 °C and the 50:1 ratio make it useful for hot objects at a distance too.
The infrared resolution is 32 × 32 pixels. That is enough for an overview and temperature measurement, but not for detailed building thermography. For that, choose the IR-Cam 2 Pro with 220 × 160 pixels.
Two cameras, three image modes
An infrared camera and a 2-megapixel digital camera work together. You switch between visible image, overlay and pure thermal image and can see immediately where the measured spot is in the room.
Touchscreen and automatic monitoring
The touchscreen complements the buttons and trigger: tap the measuring point, read the value. The camera automatically marks the highest and lowest values in the image. Temperature limits and measuring intervals can be set; when a limit is exceeded, the tool saves the thermogram itself.

Interpreting the result correctly
The non-contact measurement captures the surface, not the inside. Shiny metals and glass emit little radiation; set the emissivity accordingly or measure on a piece of matt tape. The further away you are, the larger the measured spot.
