Roto HVG 600: the quiet revolution on the building site
The CONDTROL Roto HVG 600 brings a quiet revolution to levelling: a permanent-magnet, brushless hollow-shaft motor with direct drive delivers up to 1,000 rpm – for a continuous, clearly visible laser line without flicker. Together with its green beam, ±0.05 mm/m and IP66 it is built for precise outdoor and long-range tasks.

Quiet revolution: hollow-shaft direct drive up to 1,000 rpm
- Direct drive without gearbox: less play, less vibration, faster start-up.
- Brushless & permanent-magnet: low wear, quiet, highly efficient.
- Up to 1,000 rpm: produces a continuous, clearly visible line – ideal for long distances and bright surroundings.
- Finely adjustable: speed profiles for scan/spot use and for maximum visibility.
Result: more stable measuring windows at the receiver, faster signal acquisition and reproducible accuracy over large spans.
600 m range & ±0.05 mm/m precision
The green Roto HVG 600 covers in receiver mode up to 600 m (diameter) – with an accuracy of ±0.05 mm/m. Its self-levelling range of ±5° aligns the system automatically, and the tilt function (depending on version) allows defined slope work.
- Green = visible: easier on the eye; for range, however, the receiver is decisive.
- Stable line & SNR: 1,000 rpm improves signal stability at the receiver.
- Long range: Outdoors, always work with a receiver & tripod/staff.
Built for the site: IP66, runtime, intuitive operation
- IP66: dust-tight and protected against water jets – robust for outdoor use.
- Runtime: Li-ion battery for up to 22 h of operation.
- Remote control: change mode and speed from the tripod.
- Scan angle: e.g. 0°/10°/45°/90°/180° for focused work on reference axes.
- Thread: 5/8″ (construction tripod), optional 1/4″ adapter.
Practical cases: outdoor levelling & slopes
Quick reference level outdoors
- Set up the tripod, place the laser roughly level.
- Wait for self-levelling, attach the receiver to the staff.
- Select a speed for a continuous line (e.g. 600–1,000 rpm), go through the measuring points.
Slope work (e.g. drainage, driveways)
- Set the starting reference, define the slope.
- Compare target/actual along the route with the receiver.
- Use the scan angle to view specific areas.
Accessory tip: GEO construction tripod and Flexi Staff – stable set-up = more precise results.

Reference level in 5 steps
- Choose the location: place the tripod on firm ground with as little vibration as possible.
- Align the laser: mount the tool, level it roughly, wait for self-levelling.
- Select the speed: 600–1,000 rpm for an outdoor line; for detailed scans use lower levels/scan angles.
- Set up the receiver: adjust the sensitivity to the distance, check the beep.
- Measure & document: go through the measuring points, record heights; for slopes, compare target/actual.
FAQ
What does 1,000 rpm bring in practice?
At 1,000 rpm the hollow-shaft direct drive produces a continuous, stable line of light. This improves the signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver and speeds up detection over long distances.
Is green automatically better for range?
Green is more visible to the eye. For range, the receiver, optics, rotation speed and ambient light are decisive. Always work with a receiver outdoors.
How robust is the Roto HVG 600?
IP66 protects against dust and water jets. The direct drive runs quietly and with little wear. Together with Li-ion power, the system is designed for long jobs.
Is there a tilt function?
Depending on the version, the tool supports work with slopes. Details on the tilt range and operation can be found on the product page.
